A Epiphany
Jason remembers seeing all the influential figures on the wall of the Busboys and Poets and thinking how the Women’s march and the inauguration coincided. He was inspired, as these two people were expressing American values. Jason suddenly began to think in ways he hadn’t considered before. There was so much to be learned from both the living and dead figures of this world.
Shared Values
Jason, a devout Christian himself, felt that these two events were the foundation of what it means to be an American. Jason said he felt so moved by the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He thought about how no matter what the president’s politics are, they all perform the same 21 step tradition. Jason tried to keep up with the changes in America over just a few short years.
