Cellulite: Causes and Risk Factors Guide

Pregnancy

Cellulite is found in between 85 and 98 percent of women. Statistics may not be helpful during pregnancy, as hormone changes and weight increase may make cellulite more visible. Applying moisturizing lotions and gently massaging affected areas can temporarily improve the appearance of the skin. Women can combat this problem by eating healthy, drinking lots of water and starting an exercise program after giving birth. Losing weight quickly is not advised. The best way to lose weight is gradually and steadily , as fad diets can worsen cellulite.
