Chichen Itza Pyramid, Mexico

Chichen Itza Pyramid is a majestic ancient wonder that stands tall in the jungles of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The Mayans built this towering structure known as El Castillo more than 1,000 years ago. It is one of the best preserved and most impressive examples of Mayan astronomy and architecture. According to legend, the unique design of the pyramid aligns with the movement and position of the sun. This creates a shadow which resembles the shape of a snake at the equinoxes.

The access to the Pyramid is restricted despite its importance. Visitors are not allowed to reach the top and certain areas of the pyramid are off-limits. Over the centuries, the allure of ancient history of the pyramid and its mystery have inspired countless artists, scholars and explorers. It has become a source for endless fascination for people around the world. The Chichen Itza Pyramid is a testament to ancient civilizations’ ingenuity, creativity and timeless appeal.
