Foods to Avoid for Nasal Polyps

Eggs

Eggs can be eaten in many different ways. They can be poached or scrambled. They can also be fried. The most common eggs eaten are chicken eggs. However, duck eggs, quail and fish eggs are also popular. Some people can have an allergic reaction to eggs, just like they do with dairy and gluten. The proteins found in eggs can cause an overreaction by the immune system. It is again because the body misidentifies them as foreign invaders. Immune system releases histamine, and other chemicals in the body because of this incorrect identification. These chemicals are responsible for the allergic symptoms that appear on mucus membranes. This hyperactive immune reaction can cause nasal polyps to become worse by increasing mucus and swelling the nasal tissues.
