Guide to Fever-Reducing Medication

Diclofenac

Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal medicine that reduces inflammation, is available in the market. It is also used to treat migraines and arthritis. This medication can only be obtained with a prescription. It is available as a delayed-release tablet or extended-release capsule. This medication can cause heartburn, nausea, headaches and drowsiness. Also, constipation and diarrhea are possible. Some individuals experience dizziness. Patients may experience fatigue, swelling of the feet and rapid weight increase. If you notice any of these symptoms, it’s important to get medical attention immediately. If ringing is heard in the ears, patients should immediately contact their doctor.

Patients may wish to monitor their blood tension regularly throughout treatment, as this medication can cause an increase in blood pressure. Report any elevated blood pressure to your doctor. Diclofenac is not recommended for pregnant women. It may also be unsafe for individuals who have asthma, stomach ulcers or bleeding, high pressure and heart disease. Doctors need to be aware of the history of any conditions that may have been present in the patient before prescribing this drug. Patients should tell their doctor if they smoke and if they have a history of liver disease or kidney failure.
