Wayne’s tricks and tips for building the perfect bunker included adding handrails on the stairs to increase safety. What a brilliant idea! This is especially true if the weather in your area gets very cold, and the ice could make the stairs slippery.
Wayne suggested it would be best to add a small overhang above the entrance. The outside elements could make the stairs icy, or even cause rainwater to fill the hole. The overhang can also keep animals off the walkway.
