According to some research, cilantro can help reduce anxiety. A study on animals revealed that cilantro can improve anxiety. This study was published in the Indian Journal of Pharmacology and claims that high amounts of cilantro produce anti-anxiety properties that are similar to the anxiety medication diazepam. This study examined high levels cilantro extract. You should be aware that diazepam can have many side effects. These include confusion, hallucinations, memory problems, and muscle weakness. Cilantro does not seem to cause these side effects. More evidence is required to determine how much cilantro will actually reduce anxiety in humans.
