Japanese inventions that changed the way we live and travel

32. Cubic Sound-Catching Pillow

What is it? A pillow which allows you to lay on your back and hear both ears.
Invented: 2013
Average price:Currently not listed (out of stock everywhere).

The FUJIPACKS cubic sound catching cushion helps you to be comfortable when watching TV. The cube pillow is made with cube shaped holes so that when you place your head on the side, you can hear what you’re watching.

FUJIPACKS All Sound Catch Cubic Pillow, which comes in Dark Navy and Red, has been compared by reviewers to “soft fine sand”. The company also created a mushroom-shaped light ($44), as well as a stainless steel four-way cylindrical file ($102).

The sound-catching pillow, despite being hollow and having a strange shape, is actually quite comfortable. It’s important to remember this when you are watching Star Trek.
