Cyberdene’s HAL is a marvellous exoskeleton that looks like it came straight from Iron Man. The interesting technology was first approved by the company in 2018. It gained more recognition after it began to be used in the US in March 2019.

The exoskeleton allows patients with spinal cord injury to walk using signals from the bran. HAL’s program isn’t cheap, however. It costs Americans $24,000 per 60-minute session that’s not covered by insurance. Cyberdene says it is worth every penny.
