Mitsukoshi, Inc. has been a Japanese retailer since the 1600s. It is possible that the company has survived this long because it is always changing and innovating. Mitsukoshi invented “intelligent changing rooms” as part of its approach.

The retailer realized that staff were constantly running around to assist people in the changing rooms. This was causing chaos and decreasing productivity. The retailer, who is popular like Target invented a changing area that allowed customers to check sizes and clothes without disturbing staff.
