Japanese inventions that changed the way we live and travel

64. Cooling Sprays & Lotions

What is it? A can of cold air to cool you down in hot weather
Invented: 2017
Average price: $0.94*

It’s a little like an air conditioner in the bottle. Some cities and towns in Japan experience temperatures as high as the nineties between July and August. Japan experienced its highest ever temperature two years ago. It reached 106 degrees. These sprays and lotions cool you down by misting you with icy cold air.

Reviewers have also noted that this cooling lotion is particularly nice after spending the entire day in the sun. Colgate has not yet come up with a product that can compete with the cheapness and ingenuity of this cooling spray.
