85. Fan Without Blades

What is it: A fan with no blades and without sound
Invented: 1981
Average Price: $378.13

Consumers were stunned when Dyson released a bladeless fans in 2009. Telegraph then pointed out that Japan had invented the Dyson fan bladeless in 1981. Following Dyson’s re-release of the fans, a number of copycat companies jumped on board.

It seems that iRobot was the first to create this fan. However, Japan may have been the inventor of it. The fans are powered by a brushless motor that directs the airflow into the circular hoop.
