The Titanoboa sized mass of alga was still making its way to them. Kelsey could not see it but she heard and smelled it. It was a slithery, slimy creature that emitted an unmistakable odor of damp earth and saltwater.
Luke screamed like a madman. He threw his ax to the side and grabbed the space he had created in the door.
They slammed the door behind them as they ran.
