Kelsey received her wish a day before the ship arrived. She was released from quarantine when it appeared that neither she nor her crew had any problems. She boarded her flight to the United States as soon as she landed in South Africa.
Kelsey, who had been a bit nomadic, living in hotels, and moving from boat to boat, thought she was ready for a permanent home.
She chose Kansas, an American landlocked state where no one from the sea would dare venture.
