74. The Sound
Kelsey and her friend were on their way to the car when they heard it coming from a nearby drain.
A rustle. The sound brought Kelsey back to her days on The Patriot and her heart stopped. Her fiance asked, “What is going on?”
Kelsey gestured for him to quiet down. After a few moments, the rustling stopped. Was it black-green alga on the sewer grates? Kelsey didn’t notice anything when she looked closely.
