6. Clean up wires and leads

You can hide cables in many ways. Attaching plastic picture hangers or bulldog clips to the backside of your desk is one of the easiest ways. Fix the wires on the desk legs, and then feed them down to the plug sockets.

Label tab stickers with the lead and plug-in location.

7. Notes and ideas are best written down.

We all know we won’t remember ideas the next day, even if we promise we will. You can use a notebook to jot anything down that you’d like to remember. This is especially useful when you are on the phone, and desperately searching for a Post-It.

You don’t even need notification blockers or productivity apps if you want to concentrate. Turn your phone on silent and place it in a drawer.
