Davis began the task of compiling an exhaustive list of all dealerships in the area that had sold this particular car model. He thought that tracing back the car’s history might lead him to the identity of the driver.
He hoped that one of the two might have the number plate in their system and could reveal the purchaser. Davis would be able to identify the speedster if he had a lead.
