In 2019, Japanese videogame company Level-5 teamed up with Otome Yosha to create a truly unique product for singletons. The boyfriend speaker has two fake arms around your neck attached to a pillow that features a face from a videogame character.
Even though the Bluetooth speakers built in are attractive, the strange invention was not designed to be mass-produced and put on the market. They were instead given away as prizes in a Twitter contest run by the company. One lucky person won the only ever-made boyfriend speaker.
