There are other companies out there that are trying to find a better solution to keeping people dry. Asahi Power Service Company unveiled their prototype of a flying umbrella in 2018. It’s a drone that hovers above its owner’s head.
Asahi wants to give the Japanese people more freedom by allowing them to use their product instead of juggling shopping bags or briefcases. As of now, drones are not allowed to fly within 30 meters from people. Until this changes, the product cannot be used in the street.
